EL GRECO - painter, sculptor and architect of Greek origin. During his life, he met Croatian miniature painter Julije Klović, who wrote him a recommandation whe El Greco was moving to Rome.


HOMER - famous for his two epic poems The Iliad and The Odyssey even though very little is really known about him or about his life. His importance was described in Plato's Republic where he is portrayes as PROTOS DIDASKALOS (first teacher), THE HEGEMON PAIDEIAS (leader of Greek culture) and HELLADA PEPAIDENKON (teacher of all Greece).

MIKIS THEODORAKIS  - Greek songwriter and cmposer. Famous for the music for films Zorba the Greek and Serpico, among many , many others.

C.P. CAVAFIS - a Greek poet who during his life refused to formally publish his work. Instead, he preferred to share them through newspapers and magazines. Considered the most important Greek poet of the 20th century.

THANASSIS VEGGOS - Greek actor and director who performed in more than 130 films, mostly comedies. Famous for his comedic catchphrase "My good man". Played roles of a poor but honest man who loved helping others.
