Mosaics use tiles or other fragments of objects to create a larger piece of artwork. It really stands out more than the art here in the United States, they use many more colors and no two artworks are alike. Here, many artists have a certain style and they make very similar art pieces every time. The large rainbow serpent named, Goorialla traveled across the world attempting to find a good land for his people. Throughout his journey he shapes and changes the Earth in many ways leading to land features and water. After he then met with the aborigines and showed them how to dress and taught them multiple traditions and languages. A storm began and Goorialla was being selfish with the shelter he was given. The Bil-Bil brothers were eventually allowed to enter...into Goorialla's mouth. The aborigines traveled up a large mountain and then cut open Goorialla with a quartz spear. Inside they found the Bil-Bil boys but they had transformed inti beautiful parakeets. I know because the didgeridoo has a very distinct sound almost like a bunch of animals are trapped inside. It sounds sort of like a wild boar snort, a kangaroo jumping, flies buzzing, birds chirping, and frogs croaking. All sounds that are very common in the outback. Compared to the music of the United States it is very different. Here we listen to pop and rap music which usually involve a lot of bass whereas this uses a lot of nature sounds and cultural vibes to draw in the listener. The resource shows you very early on that the aborigines place themselves on the same level as nature because they make their instruments from scratch just as an animal would.
