Zora- “I think making class is a fun experience. For me, it’s like a place where you can think outside of the box.”

Vihaan- “To me making is like you are risk taking because it might not come out like what you wanted to come out. To me, when I am in the making “zone” I feel like it is an adventure. Making opens my mind in a crazy way so that it challenges me to do things that I’ve never tried.”

Alivia- “Making makes me feel like I’m in my own world and, in the end, I am always proud of my work.”

Nora- “Making can be a magical world without guidelines where you can think your mind and create anything. I think making class improves our learning experiences, hands-on learning. Making class is extremely fun for me and others because you can do whatever you want; it’s like ideas come flying into my head and each one is better than the other.”

Ellah-“Making is something all schools need. It can change your learning mindset.”

K’Aden- “If you make a mistake it turns into something cool.”

Esme- “For me, it is a safer place to make mistakes, so it feels easier to try new things.”

Thomas- “I think making helps me design in my mind. When I was making my chick, I felt happy to think of my thoughts. I feel like making is a way of doing regular school- but my way.”

Bea- “Making will help you for sure. It does not need to be neat or perfect and there are no rules at all. All you have to do is use your imagination to put something together. It will be fun and you might end up with something amazing…”

Cullen- “With making, possibilities are endless. Time is endless. Imagination is endless; my hands just shoot off trying to make a blueprint in my head and copying it…”

Evan-“We need making because it lets our mind wander around in an open plain of grass. We need making because it lets you tinker with the materials we have.”

Will- “Making is a totally different zone where you make all sorts of stuff and let your brain roam around freely.”

Jesse- “Making also teaches kids that mistakes aren’t always bad.”
