Reflex has been helpful in building fluency for the kids on my caseload, especially when they finish their goal-related assignments in ASB/Intensives. It's also good to have in your back pocket during classroom instruction in case students finish early. The students seem to enjoy the game, especially relative to Khan Academy and other "dry" programs. I don't like assigning it for homework. I don't think they have as strong of a connection to it as a packet that directly relates to what we're working on in class.

I have found that students enjoy FRAX as it seems to be engaging, but the data pulled is not super helpful in terms of IEP goals and data. If I were able to control what skills they were working on or pull specific data points rather than general levels that would be more helpful. I also do not use them consistently to have accurate data.

Many of my students have told me that they've "completed" Frax and/or Reflex and so there isn't more for them to use on the program. Also, I was under the impression that Reflex was for lower grades so I generally don't direct the 8th graders to Reflex, only Frax.

The students like Reflex/Frax considerably more than MAP Accelerator. It would be great if we had something similar to Reflex/Frax for students to do when they finish that would practice multi-digit multiplication and division. Some students are great with multiplication/division fact families but then don't know how to do either operation with multi-digit numbers. Just something to consider particularly in thinking about students who have finished both Reflex and Frax in 6th grade and thinking about what they'll do in 7th/8th.
