The stuff with the YA books was only presented to ELA teachers last year. The only way other people know about it is because they heard it through the grapevine. A LOT of clarification needs to be given to the rest of the staff.

If TMS agrees that there will be no cell phones/personal electronic devices from bell to bell, then we NEED consistency among ALL staff members that they will not allow students to listen to personal music during work time. By some teachers allowing this practice, students are getting multiple, conflicting messages, which is ultimately inconsistent. I would ask for a 100% staff commitment to not allowing personal electronic devices at any point from bell to bell.

Will we have a lunch detention table in the main lunchroom that teachers can use as an alternative place to send students? Sometimes teachers have plans & meetings during lunch. This practice is very helpful.

"Defiance" is listed on the behavior reference guide as both a Tier 1 and Tier 2 behavior. Could we get some more clarity on that? Having "defiance" in both areas puts it back on my shoulders to make the judgement call rather than following a protocol.

Idea for WT grading: Every two weeks a 10 point completion grade for IXL. Every week, a 5 point completion grade for the journal. Every two weeks 10 point completion grade for other activities as assigned over the past two weeks... (so you have an "in progress grade")
