         <description><![CDATA[<p>Group 12:</p><ul><li><p>Try to find out what is the root cause (e.g., why they are sleeping in class or why they detest a particular lesson/subject) - could be working part-time, something happening at the homefront.</p></li><li><p>When trying to manage students, need to make sure respect is still maintained/given (e.g., do not single out the student during lesson, maybe take it up after class).</p></li><li><p>TSR need to be established early and well: sometimes challenging students test boundaries based on the teacher. Hence, its important for all teachers to speak the same language.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

When students feel less judged, they are more likely to open up.</p></li><li><p>Teacher approach - Challenging students pick and choose teachers that they can be difficult with. Hence, it is important for all teachers to speak the same language.</p></li><li><p>Building a strong TSR: challenging students often need that guidance and feel misunderstood. Establishing a fine balance between providing support and maintaining discipline is essential.</p></li><li><p>Do not single students out - make sure that during the lesson, if there are disruptions/challenges, try to diffuse the situation. Then, take it up after the lesson instead.</p></li></ul>]]></description>
