In her work, she supported the passage of several water access and pesticide reform bills and local ordinances. Isa passed away in 2020 at the age of 37 due to complications of Valley Fever and other environmental impacts, including exposure and consumption of pesticide-contaminated water.  Isa was a friend, mentor, and leader. Recuerdo su tos y delirio, then my parents llorando mucho de tanto dolor.
 
We came across to San Diego, ella se quedó en Tijuana en el panteón.
My memory lingers of a beautiful niña de diez, nacida en Nuevo León.
