We use Moodle for low-gadget and bandwidth solutions. Primarily we use mobile app for the delivery, so resources can be accessed offline. The primary challenge is gadget availability per household, which is around 1 in lower income groups.  whereas bandwidth is reasonably available

I found moodle easy to and free to adopt for the 13 weeks internship program. Requested permission from the program coordinator and got all training materials online on the VLE, got interns, facilitators and mentors signed up almost immediately and piloted it. At TeeSquare (www.teesquare.org), we have used Moodle as a backend LMS for integrating with our offline android app. Moodle has helped us in shortening our go to market time and cost and is also proving to be a robust platform which can be easily scaled to learners, locations and languages. 

Our app is a gamified app which is systematically integrated with Moodle plugins for backend reporting and the pre-built layers allow us to provide role based structure.

Myself and friends decided to freely bring their courses at home and created this platform with less than 500$. We have over 1,500 users present on the platform.
