- In Japan, the hospital bills are pretty much standardised across hospitals, but in Singapore it varies from hospital to hospital. 

-  Unlike Singapore, they do not have Medisave. 

Instead, they have the JNHI, which ties to their respective companies. And the companies will reimburse their medical care. Similar to Medishield? :)

The JHNI scheme also covers certain outpatient payments. For singapore, it only covers chronic conditions.

Japan has a safety net scheme similar to Medifund, but their version is a wider umbrella that not just covers healthcare expenses but other household/miscellaenous expenses.

Both Singapore and Japan have private insurance schemes. In the event of RTAs outside of work/companies, the expenses will be managed by private insurers.

Like their situations, Both singapore and japanese have higher elder population 
But the difference is the finicial part, japan is more standaised on their finicial assistance, But singapore takes into consideration their initial finicial situations

In Singapore, the first 6 years of education is compulsory while in Japan, the first 9 years of education is compulsory.

Japan does not have a PSLE-kind of hurdle examination for them to pass. 
The Japanese students also get allocated to nearby government schools if they do not choose to go to private schools.
Singapore on the other hand, students can choose what schools they would like they enter based on the scores they have gotten from the examinations
