Occupying one of Geneva’s most sought-after locations, the iconic boutique hotel, will reopen in September after a complete redesign of the 75 hotel’s guestrooms and suites, the hotel lobby as well as the opening of two new restaurants. 

Firmly rooted in Geneva’s cultural and social landscape, Hotel de la Paix has been witness to a multitude of historic world events since its opening in 1865. With only 75 guestrooms, its boutique size combined with a prominent lakeside location at the center of the Old Town, have inspired memorable gatherings, from the Alabama Claims tribunal in 1872, to a constant flow of high-profile guests across the 19th, 20th and 21st Centuries. 

Floor-to-ceiling windows fill each space with natural light, while upscale features including, state-of-the-art LCD HD TV with Airplay, Bluetooth speakers, individual climate control and illy coffee machine, appeal to the modern traveler. The beautifully appointed en-suite bathroom is stocked with plush terry toweling bathrobes, fluffy slippers and a generous supply of rejuvenating Asprey products.

Inspired by Executive Chef Alessio Corda’s international mindset and respect for organic, regional dishes, Fiskebar, introduces a new Nordic-fusion concept to the city. Spread across four interconnecting spaces, including a fresh fish counter with high, communal seating, the restaurant’s styling is reminiscent of a traditional Scandinavian fish market, where minimalist interiors, set off by natural materials, such a wood and leather, evoke Nordic culture. 

Positioned at the heart of the hotel’s residential concept, Living Room Bar & Kitchen offers all-day dining, serving regional dishes and global flavors. A thoughtfully crafted menu showcases fresh, local and seasonal produce, with signature dishes such as Risotto Mantecato and Beechwood-smoked fera. 

The inviting, lounge-style setting is embellished by the building’s historic details and original features, such as the 150-year old parquet and walnut floor. 

Authentic sweet confections, handmade by legendary Master Chocolatier, Phillippe Pascoët, offer an alternative taste sensation.
