         <description><![CDATA[<div>According Rudine Sims Bishop, there is a  strong need for  African American Children's Literature, "Literature in there own words."<br><br>During the mid-1600's there was not separation between literature that displayed a variety of culture. Literature, back then, was consider homogeneous or "mono" literature,with no regard of their culture differences.</div><div><strong><em>How important is it for students to be exposed to different cultures through text?</em></strong></div>]]></description>
