"Orang beradab sudah pasti berilmu, orang berilmu belum tentu beradab", this malay phrases highlights the importance of applying ethics and virtues in our life as a student. Knowledge and virtues must come together. All humans may not be students but all humans are learners. Thus, every individuals should acknowledge the adab in learning process.
During the usrah, I am pleased that everyone is allowed to share their opinions, I have gained a lot of insights and morals from my peers' shared views and experiences.

i went by najwa and here's some fun facts about me :
i was born in selayang, selangor and i live in kulai, johor
im currently studying law and i wish to be politically smart
i love listening to podcasts and sometimes i read books to fill up my time
there are few things i wish to improve before this year ends :

15/9/2023- Hadith of Gabriel and Pillars of Islam

As mentioned in the hadith, there are five pillars of Islam and 6 pillars of Imaan as well as the minor signs of the Judgement Day

This hadith can also be related to Ihsan, which is to do good in the best was possible. For example, worshipping Allah SWT as if you see Him

In this week, we focused on explanation of the Five Pillars of Islam, which consists :

1. Utterance of Syahadah

-The declaration of faith in Allah SWT and His messenger PBU

2. Salah

-Five daily mandatory prayers as an act of worship to Allah SWT

3. Zakah
-Almsgiving or the act of giving portion of One’s wealth to those in needs

4. Fasting on the month of Ramadan
-During the Holy month of Ramadan, Muslims are obliged to fast from the dawn till the dusk

5. Perform Hajj
-The sacred pilgrimage that Muslim are required to perform ones in their lifetime

During the usrah session, we also were asked to find correlation between hadith of Gabriel & adab of seeking knowledge :

1. sincerity to learn

2. instill the virtue of ihsan, every acts we do are intended to Allah as we devoted ourselves - gaining knowledge to attain Allah’s pleasure

3. create positive mindset and being optimistic in facing difficulties during learning process

4. ask questions in the best manner

5. wear clean and appropriate attire in seeking knowledge

22/9/2023- Pillars of Imaan (Belief in Allah SWT, Malaikah, Kitab)

iman - affirmation of belief by the heart

declare the belief by utterance of the tounge

prove the believe by actions of the body

What I can conclude from this week’s usrah is :

1. We must put our believe in Allah as our priority. We acknowledge that belief in Allah SWT is the first pillar of Imaan. As proven in Surah Al-fatihah, we alone ask for help from Allah SWT. We as the servants of Allah, its our natural inclination to rely and submit to the Oneness of Allah.

2. We must believe in the angels as one of God’s creation. Malaikah is created from the light that their duty is to follow the orders of Allah SWT. There are 10 angels and their duties that we must acknowledge. For instance, Raqib and Atid that were ordered to write down the deeds of humans. This helps in building sense of aware and afraid to indulge in bad deeds) As interpreted from Surah At-tahrim 6, we must refrain ourselves from sinful acts to avoid hell that is guarded by firm angels, as such Malik

3. Believe in the kitab - Torah is sent with the Prophet Musa A.S, Injeel is sent with the Prophet Isa A.S, Zaboor is sent with Prophet Dawud A.S, Quran is sent with Prophet Muhammad PBUH

From this week, i can conclude that we must believe in Allah’s messengers, Allah SWT appointed them among human beings to guide their nations to Islam and believe in Allah SWT. There are 25 Prophets that we must acknowledge.

Moreover, we must believe in the afterlife where we will be held accountable for our actions in the dunya. Our final destination will be determined by our deeds.

Furthermore, we must believe in the divine predestination. Allah the All-Knowing has planned everything in our life, we as Muslims should be optimistic to our fate.

13/10/2023- Ihsan and Eschatology

During this week, I was so invested to gain more information about eschatology. We were also blessed to get into details about the major signs of the Day of Judgement. Our Naqibah has explained us many interesting and intriguing stories about The history of Dajjal, Imam Mahdi and Yakjuj & Ma’jud. The Day of Judgement is entirely unimaginable to understand by human state of minds. This knowledge can raise awareness of the Day of Judgement and emphasize on the power of Allah as He is the King of Judgement.
In relation with ihsan and eschatology, we engage ourselves with good deeds and avoid doing sinful things with the intention of attaining Allah’s pleasure as He is the All-Seeing and All-Hearing.
Therefore, we should be conscious about our time is life is limited and always prepare ourselves with Ibadah.

To sum up, Ibadah is an act of worship that gives benefits in many aspects. Ibadah is a way to bond ukhuwah between Muslims. To illustrate, the mandatory congregational prayer or the Friday prayer where Muslims can gather to pray. Moreover, Ibadah compliment our Fitrah as humans that in need to pray and worship to the Oneness of Allah SWT. Furthermore, Ibadah is a way Muslims to fully depends on Allah SWT. Also, Ibadah can improve our Imaan and Taqwa. Apart from that, the practice of Ibadah can strengthen 'Aqidah and prevent polytheism. Other than that, Ibadah also emphasizes on cleanliness in which it teaches Muslims to observe ablution and Ghusi.

Week 3

To sum up, it should be noted that Khuyu' in Salah is not only improve our prayers but it's also plays role in instilling the virtues as Muslims. These virtues are essential for our inner spirits and self-development. Therefore, we should learn to concentrate during prayers in order to attain Khusyu' in our prayers.

We generally acknowledged that paying Zakah is one of the pillars in Islam, and Sadaqah is an encouraged deed taught by the Prophet SAW. Sadaqah must be done to attain Allah's pleasure. This can prevent us from greediness and instill humbleness in ourselves. Thus, we will be rewarded with blessings and forgiveness from Allah SWT.

Week 5

Muslims are required to fast during the month of Ramadan, which entails abstaining from food, drink, sexual relations and displeasing speech and behaviour from dawn until dusk.

This obligation is tied to self restraint and self-restraint and self-discipline. Its a source of spiritual growth and a symbol of Taqwa. We should note that Allah imposed obligations to us for our well-being.

My thoughts on this Usrah, most of Usrah members are responsive and friendly with one another. All activities conducted by my Naqibah, Musyirah are engaging and fun ! If any wishes and improvements, that would be we should do outdoor activities, im sure it would be much more entertaining. But overall, I am very satisfied.

To sum up, it is not difficult to practice Salah with Khusu’, we should set our minds clear of thinking unnecessary thoughts and make sure we are fully ready to pray to Allah S.W.T.
