The purpose of the Office of Price Administration was to control the money after the outbreak of World War 2. The OPA fought inflation by freezing on goods, wages, and rent. People would frequently go around from household to household giving coupons to families to be used to buy any goods that they needed. There were two different OPA tokens, a blue and a red. It even continued after the war ended. Meat rationing continued for 10 years after D-day. Rationing actually didn't effect people too much.
