It also allowed me to ask about technical changes and if they were recognised by my focus group.

I handed my questionnaires out to teachers and students in my 6th form.

This is good because this is what I intended to portray and a part of the audience I was aiming the video at. Question 3 was important to me as when making my video I really wanted it to show what the lyrics were conveying as I took, what some people would call, quite a unique approach on the chorus, I needed to check that people understood the story. The responses to this question have helped me to know that there is a understanding of the visuals in the chorus and that they are representative of the lyrics.

This is helpful because it lets me know that they are understanding what they are seeing and hearing. For question 6 I asked if there are any parts of the video that they don't like. I was expecting various responses as I was still in the rough cut stages of my production and hadn't quite edited all of my footage. For example I had not yet put the night sky image into my green screen section but I had keyed out the back ground so that it was just black which is more true to what the final image will look like. I was also unable to take wider shots as I only had a small green screen, which I agree with the respondent, is a shame. Question 7 was really helpful because it let me know the parts of the music video that people liked and then I knew not to change those parts.

Overall the responses from the questionnaires were very helpful in letting me know how to improve my advert. It was suggested that I remove the http link for twitter and replace it with the '@' username. It was also suggested that I add social networking logos and reduce the track list. I think this was really helpful and I agree with the respondents, as after making the changes my poster looks much more aesthetically pleasing.

The responses were also helpful in highlighting the changes I needed to make to improve the visuals. Along with helping me to understand how many songs the audience would expect to see on the digipak, how many of them actually buy digipaks, whether they like them or prefer CD's, whether it suits the genre of the artist and what I should add or remove from it.
