There are positives and negatives in this article as the sneaker drops can create a real buzz for the fashion industry however they cause mass amounts of landfill and waste of materials. Nike recently realised the problems and decided to release a restricted amount which is a positive as creates resale and that means no landfill.

This article is to inform the customers more about the background of the fashion industry and the parts we don’t always see because of the revenue and product pricing. From watching this interview I found out a lot more about her views and why she is inspired to do certain things within her career. She speaks in-depth a lot about her shop and the products she sells also from the interview I found out a lot more about Hank and why is she so passionate about it .I also found out from this more about her personal life although this isn’t useful within my timeline it made me understand her and her business more and why she’s made certain choices in her career.

It was also heavily factual on her cultural reasoning is behind her fashion and her beliefs. I found a documentary really interesting however I didn’t gain much knowledge on her career as it was mainly based around her as an individual and not her brand.

The article has towards the end all about her career in the early 2000s and how she is so passionate about climate change and how it is influencing her work from then to now even though article is written in 2008 it is still very informative about this key topic and how Vivienne Westwood is Trying to make a change in the fashion industry.

After visiting the flagship store I decided to look into Selfridges online presence and flannels and wanted to know how they sell there products compared to the stores. I found they had a lot more products online compared to the store variety. And I looked into pricing and postage to workout how the whole process worked to see how easy it is to process.

This book was the vogue 100 which was the 100 years of fashion and went over the different subcultures and garments that where popular at the time. From this i looked at 1970s onwards to get more of an understanding of what the fashion was like at the time Vivienne Westwood was designing. From this book I learnt a lot about punk and gained a better understanding of it and how Vivienne Westwood influenced the subculture.
