         <description><![CDATA[<p>Since students would complete this course prior to the beginning of a new school year, I would use NWEA Map testing at the end of the course to determine how much my writing instruction has prepared them for 6th grade Language Arts. The test reports would also show my students where they stand and give them an idea of how they would perform on state testing.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>One of my main objectives in this course is for students to improve their writing skills, but as helpful as teacher feedback can be, I would allow students to collaborate on a few writings in Google Docs. Students could work in pairs/small groups to leave feedback on and help their peers to improve their writing. Since many students work asynchronously, working in Google Docs would help them to see comments on and changes to the shared document(s) without having to set a time to meet to collaborate.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I currently use Microsoft OneNote to distribute passages, graphic organizers, assignment packets, etc. to my students. I often describe it as their digital binder. During my online course, my students would add pages to a section dedicated to their CER drafts. This would create a portfolio of their writing. I would be able to view and leave feedback on their writing, and this would also help the students to see their growth.</p>]]></description>
