Why do we have to send a printed report card each term when we have the parent portal? We used to send them home only to the families who requested them. We do not require parents to send them back signed anymore so we are really moving a little bit backwards with our procedures in my opinion.

After looking through the learning progressions given to us by the county, it is absolutely unrealistic that we can teach the concepts in Social Studies and Science within the allotted time frame. I added up the weeks for the SS and Science units to be covered during the 2nd nine weeks of school. According to the county, the Science portion for the 2nd 9 weeks would require 18 weeks to teach and the Social Studies portion would require 18 weeks to complete as well. It is impossible to teach these concepts for mastery due to the fact we have to rotate between Science and Social Studies units and there are not enough weeks within the 9 weeks.
