Colonialism is a harmful ideology in which is destroys and erases peoples history and culture. It is about imposition and assimilation of indigenous people for the benefit of European societies. It relates to the video because these people in the video are disposed from their identity and culture because of years of oppression by institutions and higher powers.

I think this ties into all of them because thinking back on history, the U.S is stolen land by white people. The fact that native Americans lived here and were basically invaded by the English and were being treated as outcasts and toys in their own home and on their own lands really shows the power of privilege. In the video they explained how they were treated as animals in their own area is sad because it's like walking into a persons home and making it your own and ignoring the actual people who live there.

Most of the experiences were cause because of people coming and colonizing their tribes. They as Natives were oppressed by the colonizers and force to give up their land and face death and diseases. The power that colonizers were able to get allowed them to greatly harm the natives even to this day. -stephanie H

It relates to both because they talked about the past on how many many years ago Europeans can and started to settle in different places in the US. As years went by, we took over their land and now we put them in small areas around the US. This was their native land, and we took it away from them.

Well, I feel that those experiences themselves come from colonialism/imperialism. Even with me, my parents lived in Mexico and even I see that Mexico still struggles with colonialism/imperialism. Especially with the native population being put into small towns and generally light-skinned or white-skinned Mexicans are more well off in almost every life. It doesn't even have to come from personal experience, I went to Hawaii and learned how America really took Hawaii and how the natives felt.
