I don’t think our reliance on robotics is a good thing. It is admirable the robots have tons of abilities that human don’t have, such as able to do work for long hours without feeling tired or exhausted which make them much more productive compared to us. But what if there is a defect happen to the robots or the world suddenly ran out of electricity? Human will have to do the work by themselves again without the help of robots. Getting some help from robotics can be a blessing, however we cannot totally rely to them to prevent the robots overpowering us and making us helpless without them.

As we know, technological advancement has been erupted since last decade. Some people believes that existence of robotics can amend their life in the future, while some believes that it will affect adversely. As for me, being co-dependent on robotic is really not good. It is a fact that we cannot compare human abilities with robots as robots have the abilities that human do not have. That is the reason why robots are designed mainly to solve problems and change the way how people work, besides from becoming a useful asset to everyday life. With the use of robotics, they can do any kind of work in just half of the time than human can do. On the contrary, with so much assistance from machines, people nowadays don’t use their thinking abilities, where these abilities will gradually decrease. In future with the heavy use of technology, humans may become fully dependent on robotics, might lose their mental capacities. To sum up, being dependent on robotics do change how people live their life for better, but being overdependent comes with heavy cost.

Robotics technology is increasing at a fast rate, providing us with new technology that can assist with home chores, automobile assembly and many other tasks. If we look at this matter in a positive view, to rely on robotics technology may not be a bad thing for me. One main advantage for businesses when it comes to using robotics in the workplace is cost. Once purchased and maintained, the costs end. There is no wage to pay out, holiday, and over-time like human employee usually does. Theoretically, robots could work around the clock without having to take breaks, and there will also be an increase in efficiency if robotics technology is used in work industries as they are more precise in terms of doing work compared to human. However, the main concern is that robots will take over many of human jobs and will increase the rate of unemployment. In summary, this problem really revolves around how intuitive and advanced the AI technology will be. While robots are much better at prescribed tasks, humans would still be preferable in unexpected situations. In my opinion, to rely on robots is good as there are lots of advantages to it ,but to be too dependent on them and to rule out completely the significant role of humans especially in workplace is irrelevant as humans are far more advanced, in the sense that they have a highly developed brain that no robot has ever matched up to, be it in terms of decision making powers, handling difficult situations, brainstorming, and generally bringing a sense of emotion and empathy into a workplace.

In my opinion, relying on robotics is can either be a good or a bad thing. As the article from BBC News stated, there will increase rates of unemployment due to the facts that the world is advancing with robots by replacing the previous workers. However, on;y low-skilled occupations are affected the most which is why the government should retrain them for better skilled jobs with higher paid grades.. As my fellow friends mentioned before, it is true that being too dependent on robots can make us weak in many aspects and even retrain workers not enough to solve the conflict. However, relying on robots is unavoidable, either it is a good or bad as it is our human nature to seek a more comfortable and better way to live our life. In future generation it might be possible that the robots would be a part of their daily life. They might even replace some parts of their body into a robot for enhancement just like in science fiction.
