She believes the American Dream is being able to start off with nothing and being successful. When she started in life she didn't have much of a plan and just went where life took her. She said her American Dream is being happy, healthy, financially stable, and the same for her children. She said what influenced her dream was her grandfather who immigrated from Azores Island Portugal. She said she has reached her American Dream because she has a happy life and a loving family. She also believes that the American Dream is realistic and that if someone falls short of their dream they should adjust their dream and go down a different path. Anne also believes that American Dream is still the land of opportunity even despite all the craziness that is happening. Advice given to her by her parents was to stay in school.
