How does entry into the Singaporean market help in market penetration in South-east Asia?

The Singaporean cultural context was considered more open to these brands and so Singapore was chosen for market expansion. However, this seems to defeat the purpose of market penetration in South-east Asia, as entry into the Singaporean market is thus very different from entry into other South-east Asian markets like that of Thailand or Indonesia. I understand that it may help in expanding to the West because of our East-West cultural context, but how does it help in expanding to the rest of SEA?

'Singapore stood out for tea brand Chagee as a gateway to South-east Asia.'

Are job threats more likely to lead to mass unemployment or a decrease in wealth in Singapore?

The rise of 'AI jobs' shows that the macroeconomic logic that 'automation will not cause mass unemployment on the whole due to efficiency gains long-term' still holds for AI. The only noticeable difference is that such generative AI jobs are 'lower-skill' in that they require less education, and can thus be lower-paying, though AI skills can improve one's marketability in the job market. Additionally, it can be seen that such jobs are not geographically bound and can thus leave the economies of the jobs they replaced, to go global. Will Singapore face more job losses to other nations or a decrease in pay on average for Singaporeans who had to shift to lower-paying jobs? If AI skills can have positive effects on wages for those who are already highly-educated, is it necessary for Singaporeans to worry about the worse outcomes of AI job threats?
