PaddlePaddle is an open-source deep learning platform developed by Baidu, designed for researchers and developers to build and deploy models efficiently. It offers ease of use, flexibility, and performance optimization with GPU/CPU support and distributed training. PaddlePaddle is used in applications ranging from image and speech recognition to NLP and recommendation systems. In classrooms, paddles are used for interactive discussions and student engagement. Types of paddles include answer paddles and voting paddles. PaddlePaddles increase engagement, provide instant feedback, and are low-tech solutions for increasing interaction without advanced technology. However, challenges include managing large groups and ensuring clear guidelines for inappropriate use.
