When we learnt that people have to participate in order to grow their own cognitive ability, we came up with a new concept that may facilitate this. Our idea is to have every students name laminated in a container/box and when a question is asked the teacher pulls out a name at random. If the student is struggling to answer there is an option for the student to "phone a friend/ 50/50 or a clue (based on game "Who wants to be a Millionaire") or they could choose someone that could support them- or something like that.
