His first email is referring to a previous email thread we sent back and forth. We discussed his behavior the morning after a JV football game and determined that it would be best not to meet last Friday and to let him get some rest. I emailed a copy to all of the emails available in PowerSchool. If I did not receive a response, I sent it home with the student, and if the student said the parents never filled it out, then I mailed a copy home using the address in PowerSchool. This is my method for sending home Notice of Meeting letters for IEP meetings as well. Page 1 is the letter and page 2 is an example of a parent response. This parent did not have an email listed in PowerSchool but they provided one for m on the letter. I collect baseline data for academics and functional skills with each of my 33 students on my itinerant caseload. I use that data to lead the team in building an individualized IEP that encompasses the student's needs, strengths, service minutes, goal areas, accommodations, etc. After the IEP is finalized I teach mini lessons based off of my student's needs and goals. I progress monitor and collect data to determine if the interventions being used are effective. I monitor and adjust based off of this data.
