In this photo we were supposed to capture a animal looking at us. I took this photo of I think a iguana looking at me. I used the saturation on my phone to make it pop out and show more color. One problem I encountered during this was the bad glare and reflection the glass was creating to fix this i pressed my phone against the glass. In photoshop I used edits like increasing the Hue to make the color and background of the animal pop even more. I also added brightness and level to get rid of some of the bad glare coming off the back wall. I used mask to make the edits focus on one part of the picture and make the viewers eyes look around and notice the colors and environment its in

I took this photo by matching the height of the rock that the lion was on. I also decided to stand to the right of the lion to use the light that was coming in to lighten my photo. I also did that to make sure i didnt get a reflect off the glass.
I took this photo in a semi zoom to make the main point of the photo be the lion and not the background. I found it challenging to not get a reflect off the glass or pick up any stains.
In photoshop i used a lot of brightness to enlarge the lion and make it pop. But, I also used the brightness to make a cool effect of the rocks and darken the background to add more to the lion. I also used the Hue/Saturation to give the lions fur a more dense/bright affect making it pop even more.
I also used the brightness settings to make the lions eyes brighter and pop at the viewer. I also found that darkening the background allowed a more deep depth of field giving the photo more interest with the cave looking rocks in the background.

I took this photo really low to the ground, almost resting on the little railing separating the water from the land. I zoomed out a lot when taking this photo, I made sure to get the trees in as well since I thought it would be a really pretty addition to the entire photo. I don't remember what specific mode I used when taking this photo. When going into editing I knew I wanted the ducks and the trees to be the main focus in the frame. First I wanted to use Hue & Saturation to enhance the colors of the photo (especially the greenish color on the ducks), after that I used Vibrance to do a bit of the same thing and continue to add more bright colors to make the focus "pop". After that I used curves to make the darker colors darker than they were before, I made sure that they wouldn't be the focus of the photo since I wanted to ducks to be the main focus of the photo, as well as the trees to complement the different shades of green. And after all of that, I used a black photo filter to darken up the photo since parts looked unrealistic and needed to be toned down.

I captured it a little above the snakes level to better capture the light in frame with the plant. I focused on the snake to make it the main point of the photo but was zoomed in on it so it would take up the whole frame. I also lightly toned down the exposure to saturate the light slightly. It was a bit difficult to get the right lighting as there was glass between me and the snake and I did by best to make it the best photo possible.
In Photoshop I increased vibrancies and exposure in certain areas to make them brighter. I used 3 photo filters red, green, and blue to add contrast to the piece and further make the snake the vocal point. I also brightened up the snakes scales to make them brighter than the leaves to make them really pop. I darkened further points of the background to better contrast the foreground.

I took this photo above my head to get a better vantage point of the subject/bird. I zoomed in a little so that the bird filled the frame more. I focused and changed to brightness on my phone to brighten it up a bit. I made sure there wasn't a glare on camera from the artificial lighting in the enclosure. I captured the picture and sent it to my drive.
From there I edited the photo in photoshop. I started with the brightness and contrast on 2 separate layers with one focused on the background and the other on the bird. I increased the contrast of the back ground and brightened up the bird as its underbelly was affected by the shadow. I also gave the bird a blue hue over it to bring out the feathers and also to change the color of the lighting on the bird to a more blue look. I then added hue and saturation to the background to get more detail and color. I then used color balance to give the whole photo a little bit of a blue green overlay to make it seem more like an old camera in a rainforest. I used vibrance then to make the colors hidden by the blue more vibrant. I then added a warm photo filter to the bird to make it appear warmer than its surroundings. Then a blue photo filter to make the background look more like a rainforest along with cloning the wallpaper around the metal roof.

To do this I drew around it and made it yellow. Another thing I added was the color to the sky I added blue to the sky since it was raining and cloudy so adding blue made the photo more poping. I changed his bag to a more vibrant red. Finally i made the color of the rocks and the pillar more brownish red to add on the the sunny theme. The error/problem in the photo was Jowle he kept moving. I solved this by yelling stop. One problem I had editing this was not being able to take out the puddles.

When I went into Photoshop I first used Vibrance, messing around with that so the colors looked how I wanted them to. (I ended up turning off that layer in the end because it sucked some of the wanted colors out) after that I used a photo filter to give it a light mask, using a yellowish-orange tone to put over it. After that, I used exposure to make parts of the background darker in order to bring out highlights in the flowers. Finally, I used Curves to mess with the colors and enhance the flowers and take attention away from the background.

I used three different adjustment layers to first, bring the exposure up on the water drops; then change the color of the background; and finally, to turn the exposure down in the background to draw the viewers eyes to the flower.

To edit this photo, I cropped the image so all of the other distractions were eliminated. Then I lowered the brightness and raised the contrast to give the image a warm tone. Next, I made a new layer mask and made the giraffes brighter and made the backround darker. I did this because the stripes on the giraffe create movement when the giraffe is brighter than its surroundings.

I captured the photo doing my best to prevent getting a glare from the glass.
In Photoshop I started with brightness/contrast since the enclosure of the octopus was fairly dark. I then used vibrancy to bring out the colors in the piece more as they were dim from the watery shadows. I removed the glare left from the window with a clone stamp tool I then used hue/saturation to brighten the colors of the octopus. I then used a photo filter to give the background a darker blue color to make it appear farther away. I then increase the exposure to show the contrast between the octopus and the background. And used more brightness/contrast for the octopus to give it the purple/pink highlights.

I found it challenging to get a picture of the bird while it wasnt moving.
In photo shop i used hue and saturation to give the birds feathers a purple tint, i also used a shadow affect to make the ground darker while also increasing the light at the top/background.

I used hue and saturation to make the otters coat red. Then I darkened the background
This made it look like the otter is popping out to the viewers eye.

I took this photo while sitting on the floor next to my dog in the sunlight. He was looking out the window and the sun was streaming in at the perfect angle and illuminated his face. This was just a normal photo on my camera instead of portrait or anything.
In photoshop I first started with removing some photos from the background so they didn't take away from the main point of the picture. To do this I used clone stamp and basically just covered up the photos. I also adjusted the brightness and contrast, making the dog brighter and the background darker. Along with that I adjusted the hue and saturation to make my dog pop a little more against the background.

In this photo i captured shadows and contrast. I started by editing the ion to have a bright chest but black head. I then edited the lion to be contrasted through out the photo. Finally i made it so the lion had shadows under him. One problem was the lion was moving to much but then when he laid down it was the perfect time for the photo. Durring editing i had a problem of not being able to get the contrast just right but5 when I did it looked perfect.
