This was one of the most interesting and engaging courses I have ever done in my school career. All the topics covered were interesting and useful, faced with great competence and originality, in fantastic places, beyond my imagination! Every place I visited struck and fascinated me: the beaches, the Creole farm, the islands, the waterfalls ... and the lessons, immersed in nature, were a unique and enchanting experience. I learned a lot about the history, traditions and culture of Guadaloupe, a country so far unknown to me. I was very impressed by the visit to the Memorial Acte on slavery, a painful and shameful page of our history, but also in general the lifestyle of the people of Guadaloupe, far from the stressful patterns of life in Europe and very close to nature and ancient wisdom of tradition. The session dedicated to music was also very engaging ... I never thought I could play a drum !!! All the lessons of the course have shown me how important it is to work in a motivating environment to achieve meaningful, deep and lasting learning. The course has been organized very well, Rita is really a special person, very prepared and competent, listening to her lessons was really pleasant, beyond the didactic contents, she manages to transmit positive energy and tranquility. I really feel like thanking you for all that you have taught me in these weeks and I hope to be able to return here again in this wonderful land.

“Every time we learn something new, we ourselves become something new”

A class with a door to the world ... yes this was precisely this Erasmus in Guadaloupe. A door that has been opened and beyond which an exciting path has come to life from a human and professional point of view. The coordinator of the course, Rita, turned out to be a very competent professional, with a great experiential background. She is a good motivator, she launches original stimuli on which to reflect, she manages to get you on tiptoe and with great respect in the culture of Guadaloupe, The sessions were all interesting and offered useful material for a relapse in their school, lessons , in close contact with nature, with the places and with the locals, have taken on a very strong multicultural aspect. The chosen itineraries allowed to reconstruct the Guadaloupe stora and its traditions. Interesting the exchange with the other participants, each with their own experiences has opened the mind to new ideas. Very useful was also the mini French course that allowed easier communication on the spot. The door today only closes virtually, in reality the experience will remain "open" forever

everyone's experience is everyone's treasure

A classroom with a door to the world has been a great course for me. I have learned about the nature, history, environment and the culture of Guadeloupe. Intellectually I have learned about geography, language and culture. Personally I have broadened my mind and developed personally.
I have friends in Guadeloupe. Meeting them here and feeling the welcoming atmosphere has been a great experience for me. I enjoyed to taste specialities, served by friendly people in the most wonderful locations.
I bring home good memories, nice recipes and a lot of ideas for new international projects. From the course material we got from Rita, our course organizer, it's easy for me to bring activities directly into my classroom. I really want to share my knowledge with my students and colleagues at my school in Denmark.

It has been a really good course that I have learned a lot from.
We have come across some really good topics that are useful in my own teaching with the youngest students.
The subject of identity was exciting and reached everyone can benefit from, and accepting oneself to accept others. It is important to take responsibility for their own actions both in the environment and towards others both those who are close to oneself and people in other cultures.
Having experienced the nature and culture of Guadeloupe has provided an insight into another way of living one that I live, it has been healthy and clearly reached I can bring to myself and my teaching.
Having experienced the course with Rikke means that together we can come up with new ideas for the international work at our school.

I have also got a new look at a classroom, it is useful to take students and learn from their watered environment (the classroom) and out into nature., Down to the floor, or as we make use of movement reached more in teaching

The course focused on internationalisation of curriculum and national identity and the dilemma of balancing them both. Alongside, the interactive French language learning activities gave the opportunity to refresh the language within an authentic environment. The course brilliantly demostrated how internationalisation of the curriculum enhances national identity developing a sense of tolerance and acceptance at the same time. It gave me very clear tools on how to prepare, implement and monitor international projects and how to reinforce cooperation with international partners. Most of all Rita Stoskiene was excellent in exceeding my expectations in all possible ways; I learnt much more about myself, others and nature; I learnt the size the moment and fully benefit from the fantastic sourroundigs; I met extraordinary people willing to share. Once in a life chance! Thank you!
