         <description><![CDATA[<div>Explorer name: Francisco Pizarro <br><br></div><div>Date of birth/death: born in 1471 and died on June 26, 1541 <br><br></div><div>Feats: Joined Vasco Núñez de Balboa in his march across the “south sea” discovering the Pacific Ocean, overthrew the Inca leader Atahualpa and conquered Peru, he founded the capital city of Lima. <br><br></div><div>Failures: Pizarro’s conflict with Almagro resulted in his and his brothers death, before he conquered Peru he had many failed attempts, he lost the trust of Davila on his first expedition. <br><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I picked Peru because he conquered it and capitalized Lima. <br><br>Location (absolute): 9.1900° S, 75.0152° W<br><br>Location (relative): Just south of the equator, western coast of South America touching the Pacific Ocean<br><br>Place: In South America, it has many rain forests, Machu Picchu, an ancient Incan city high in the Andes mountains.<br><br>Human-Environment Interaction: Peruvians have learned to adapt to a variety of environments. For example, they've created their own irrigation system, lots of crops, and an abundant water supply. They also use the Amazon rain forest for medicine. <br><br>Movement: Of present Peru, the movements have successfully resisted mega-mining projects and expanded democratic rights.<br><br>Region: Peru is a country in Southern Brazil, it's population is 31.38 million, and there are over 7 million cities in Lima. <br><br></div>]]></description>
