1. I will be assessing if students can write, read and graph inequalities. This coincides with the following 6th grade math standard: 6.EE.B 8 Write an inequality of the form x > c or x < c to represent a constraint or condition in a real-world or mathematical problem. Recognize that inequalities of the form x > c or x < c have infinitely many solutions; represent solutions of such inequalities on number line diagrams.

2. To earn the badge, students will have to write their own inequality and create a real life scenario which that inequality could describe. Students will have to make a poster or powerpoint which includes their inequality, the description of their real life scenario and a graph of the inequality. Students will present it to the class. Students will be graded by a rubric on 4 categories - correctly writing their inequality, graphing their inequality, describing their scenario correctly using their inequality and on their presentation. Each category in the rubric is worth 5 points and they must receive a total of 15 points out of 20 to receive their badge.

3. Students will be given a short formal assessment where they correctly write and graph 8 out of 10 inequalities to be considered successful. After this, they will do the project mentioned in number 2 to get their badge.

1. I will be assessing student knowledge of how to write an opening statement for mock trial.
2. Students will earn their badge by writing a defense attorney opening statement. Included in the opening statement will be an introduction, brief summary of the case, discussion of defense witnesses, a contradiction of the prosecution's theories, and a conclusion.
3. The student will be assessed how well the opening statement is written. Did the student state their information correctly, and was correct punctuation and grammar utilized.

1. I will be assessing specific domains in the read 180 portal. These are: Comprehension, Word Zone, Vocabulary, Spelling, & React/Write. Each domain will have a specific badge.
2. To earn the badge, students will work in the Read 180 program multiple times a week. Time spent in the application will be tracked via analytics using the SAM portal for Read 180.
3. To earn a badge, students need to score above 75% or 3/4 for React/Write in each area on a weekly basis.
