This activity laid out in simple terms the different technical regions in the body. It also helped me solidify my knowledge of the anatomical position. Remembering all of the terms was a bit challenging, but the color coding eventually helped me memorize and master this skill.

The most helpful part, however, were the hands-on labs that taught me how to properly use an epi pen, for example. Those were invaluable in my mastery of this skill.

This activity (and the many worksheets and notes that accompanied it) helped me master this topic. The color-coding was extremely helpful in me remembering where the muscles are. The only thing that threw me off was trying to find the space for the notes on the Deltoid and Latissimus Dorsi. However, the specific extra information given about the Deltoid and Latissimus Dorsi were also very helpful in me mastering this topic.

This assignment showed me in simple terms what the bones and ligaments around the knee were. This was key in my mastery of this topic. Another thing that helped me master this topic was my ACL tear last year. Because of that injury, I had to become more knowledgeable about the muscles and bones and ligaments in my knee and how to do exercises to make them stronger so I could recover fully. The last thing that helped me truly master this topic was actually viewing a live example of an ACL surgery. Once I saw that and all the structures in the body in and around the knee, I felt like I truly began to understand this topic.

Very similarly to how I mastered the anatomy of the shoulder, color-coding the parts of the ankle joint was incredibly important to my mastery of this topic. After writing down all of the ankle joints ligaments and motions, marking all of these landmarks of my ankle joint with stickers as a lab, truly helped me understand this topic even further. Finally, the thing that helped me master this topic was the Identifying Muscles assignment via getbodysmart. It showed me how the muscles moved the ankle joint and how it related to the bones of the involved with the ankle joint.

I mastered this topic through the Q-Angle lab shown in the picture: I was the "patient". After hearing the explanation of why Q-angles are measured and why having overly large or small Q-angles can have large negative effects on a person (like an increased risk of injury) from the assignment for the Q-Angle Lab and in lectures, I was able to master this topic. The other thing that greatly helped me was the Gait-Walking Lab. It helped me master the topic by forcing me to write much more detailed descriptions of my walking and by forcing me to be very attentive to flaws in my walking form (caused by issues in my hip joint or my knee joint). Thus, I was able to master this topic without too much trouble.
