         <title>Radio Waves</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Radio waves are the largest waves in the electromagnetic spectrum.  They have a larger wavelength than microwaves, and can be the size of a football field or the size of a football. Radio waves have the least energy out of all the waves in the electromagnetic spectrum. Health risks for overexposure would be the potential for the waves to cause cancer because of the radiation from the waves. We use radio waves in our lives today because radio waves are used for all radio stations, and radio waves are used in wifi!</div>]]></description>

They have a shorter wavelength than radio waves and can be the size of a pin head all the way up to about 1 foot in length. Microwaves have the second least amount of energy out of all the waves in the electromagnetic spectrum. Health risks for microwaves can be cancer or burns. We use microwaves in our everyday lives by using them to cook our food, and transferring information like phone calls. An interesting fact about microwaves is that they can penetrate through rain, clouds, snow, and smoke, allowing easier studying of the earth from space.</div>]]></description>

They have a shorter wavelength than microwaves and range in size from the size of bacteria, to the size of a cell. Infrared waves have the third least amount of energy out of all the waves in the electromagnetic spectrum. Health risks for infrared waves are burns. We use infrared waves in our everyday lives when we  use the TV remote or when we feel heat from the sun. An interesting fact about infrared waves is that there are camera's that can take infrared pictures, showing hot and cold areas.</div>]]></description>

Their wavelength is shorter than microwaves' wavelength, and they can be in between the size of a virus to the size of bacteria. Visible light waves have the fourth most energy out of all the waves in the electromagnetic spectrum. Dangers of visible light is damage to eyes or burns on the skin. We use visible light waves in our everyday&nbsp; lives when we use a flashlight to see in the dark, or we use the sun to see objects around us. An interesting fact about visible light waves is that it can be separated into all of the colors that make up white light through the use of a prism.</div>]]></description>

UV waves have the third most energy out of all the waves in the electromagnetic spectrum. The dangers of UV light is damage to your eyes and damage to skin. We use UV waves in our everyday lives when you use a sunbed for tanning. An interesting fact about UV light is that some animals are different colors under this light.</div>]]></description>

Gamma rays have the most energy out of all the waves in the electromagnetic spectrum. The dangers of gamma rays is that it can cause cancer, and gamma rays can penetrate skin and kill cells inside. We use gamma rays today in nuclear weapons, and in cancer treatments. An interesting fact about gamma rays is that it can kill bacteria on food making your food last longer and making it fresher.</div>]]></description>
