 5 pros of teachers making kids figure things out on there own are it prepares them for the real world, teaches them how to get around problems, gives students a chance to do things on their own, They learn how to handles situations better, and overall builds a better person out of that student.

Student need to start independent learning because a students teacher isn't going to be with them for the rest of their life. Your teacher wont be there with you on the SAT or at a job interview. That is why you need to learn to teach your self things.

College professors don't take any of that stuff. They don't care if your not paying attention because it will show in the students grade. They won't allow disruptions in class either.

The job of a teacher is more to prefer the student for the rest of their life. To teach them good skill and let them ask questions to make sure that they know what is being taught.
