The Secondary setting is his house which where he shows he football side and watches it almost everyday.
Other settings like the Alamo, which is Clay's favorite place which is where he takes Maddie on their first date.
Maddie and Clay end up dating most of the book despite Maddie being his best friend sister and her not really liking him at first.

2/3: David's concussion has affected Clay's mind. He is scared to take hits, however, he is still pretty much carrying the team. Also Clay and Maddie has confused me a lot, he didn't talk to David about it and Clay acted like he have never met her until after that game, David got injuries and I don't believe that he wouldn't have ever seen her before this.
3/3: David's injury was never really told to us and he was kinda just left in the dark. Maddie and Clay is still confusing like why has is she hanging out with Clay, everyday but her brother is in and out of the hospital. But, David get a concussion that he believe isn't going to take a long time to come back from. Clay carried the team for to games straight, David's doctor tells Coach Coop that he is still going to be out and it's a getting worse for him. Clay proceeds to go try to bring David to the Alamo which is he's favorite spot. David declines, Clay asks his sister. Clay and his sister hang out and end up dating within the first week. David is put in the hospital after multple headaches. Clay get the team to the No. 1 seed in the league and into the championship game.
