The author Elliot has a really good writing flow in terms of what she talks about and feels. she expresses trauma's within her childhood. Having her mom dealing with some mental illnesses, and being constantly diagnosed. Dealing with depression herself as a teen and having to write about her first suicide. Even more so attempting it. Using words like "Melancholia". Other references like Hamlet's lover Ophelia. I can go on and on about this certain text.

I finished reading the five main points of half-bread. In the novel, A mind spread out on the ground. Seeing Alicia's experience of being mixed was to see her view of her experience in the school in New York. Seeing the conversations she had with her parents and hearing both perspectives. Envisioning what she was seeing. Lastly, the moment she gave birth to her child. She goes in-depth about how being mixed shouldn't be a thing two be ashamed of. Another thing she mentions is the different privileges between Whites and Indigenous people.

For some reason, it just never clicked for me, and I always knew it was a problem. I, ve had many teachers in the past say that I have great ideas in terms of when I'm trying to interpretative something. Even when I bring up certain points when it comes to certain arguments being made. They have mentioned that my grammar is the one thing that is holding me back. That has now recently changed ever since I downloaded Grammarly it has changed my life completely. This app helps me get my point across, a complete game changer for me and my writing. I can honestly say it's love at first write. That was a bad joke I'm so sorry :((

Makes me wonder what was the point of teaching it in the first. I mean this when I say that high school doesn't prepare you for post-secondary. I'm mad! What was the reason for this in the first place? Was it so that they could have time to finish marking them quickly? Somebody, please tell me the reason because this I just ridiculous.

She talks about her past traumas in her life and how she felt explaining them to the therapist. She went through life as a teenager and found out she was pregnant. There was also a part in the essay when she was being confronted by the therapist in s way that she explains was quite uncomfortable. Feeling comfortable with her partner Micheal standing up for her when she needed it. Also going into more detail about life at home. Hearing her parents arguing non-stop. She felt abandoned in some cases knowing that she couldn't come to her parents with that problem because of all the fighting in the house. She also explains the weight and pressure she felt when being pregnant. The physical and hormonal transformations she would face from time and time again. Knowing that this little thing was going to be her responsibility for the rest of her life.

One of them would have to be is playing two parts when it came to my friends. She explains how she would not tell any of her friends about her issues in her personal life, but instead listen to some of her friend's issues. I related to that so much not because of anything bad happening at home, but the fear of me trying to be a burden to somebody, or having the feeling of letting people in and having a sense of betrayal. I knew more about my friends and their issues, and they had no clue about what was going on with me. I just realized that one line of her's just sat with me completely.

Breaking the wall of generation cycles in relationships and finding someone that brings the best out of you. Someone who hears you and understands where you are coming from. Someone who doesn't criticize you or your culture. When you find that person you realize what a healthy relationship is supposed to be true. Then you break that generation curse of toxic relationships that you grew up witnessing.

This specific essay does a great job of indicating the well-known double standards that society positions on men and women. When women are considered to be victims of an assault that has happened to us. We are told to be quite. Having to live with that moment of trauma replayed in our minds for the rest of our lives. It seems like when a man is involved as the problem as the issue we tend to give an excuse for it. Or we can suggest that this shouldn't be a part of his past this doesn't define who he is as a person. We often forget that we should take as much consideration when dealing with the victim's story. It only seems like men are considered to be the heroes when they reveal that something is wrong, and women are considered to be the complete scrums of the earth when it comes to revealing something.

Seeing Alicia witnessing her mother go through so many metal issues including dealing with Bipolor Deppression, but still at the same time remebering all the good monments she had with her aswell. It got me thinking that when it comes to our loved ones going the tough trials like this how to we dfine the good moments of or loved ones with the bad moments we witness them go through.

Some points that stood out to me:
1. We are so vulnerable with stories as children.
2. We tend to feel pity for certain people when we tell one side of their situation.
3. To create a single story we show people as one thing. Then we tend to repeat that story/statement about a particular group of people.
4. Stories can be used to empower and repair human dignity.
5. "When we realize there is no single story we regain the single paradise"( Chimamanda Adichie).

Reuniting with a former friend she grew up with is now about to turn into her worst enemy.
5. From the sounding of it looks like she survived, but still isn't physically able to move.
6. Remebering every moment she experinced with that one person. It kinda gives a flashback on her realationship with that person.
**** One thing to note is that in the audio she has another voice of hers that seems to be whispering evrything that she is saying in her in room voice****
- Not quite sure if this was done on purpose or it may be the audio in my computer wrong somewhere?

Learning about the structures of essay writing at a post-secondary level is way more straightforward and less frustrating than writing a basic research paper in high school. The reason why I feel like it is easier is that now I can put my thoughts and opinions it comes to what I'm trying to pursue or argue. I feel like the basic three-paragraph essay it was holding back some of the ideas that I wanted to share with my viewers or the teacher that was marking my essay. Know that I have the full knowledge of what I'm supposed to do I'm confident that I can write an opinion and give my point of view without just stating three-point and three main pieces of evidence to back it up.
