He was born to a priest of a father and his mother was from a priest's family. He started school in seminary, but somewhere along the road began to become increasingly interested in the natural sciences. After the Revolution of 1917, he was a major critic of the crack down on the church. After the USSR's collapse, many biographers considered him to be a deeply religious man. Such is not the case. Pavlov's letters and his contemporaries's accords call him a materialist.

Pavlov lived through the Russian revolution of 1917. Now only was this a shift in political power, but economic as well. The Communist party favored Socialism and looked down upon capitalism. He also lived through one of the world's bloodiest wars, World War One. Having earned many medals awarded to him by the Tsarist government, I can only guess that he attended several social events regarding such awards.

I only read it once I know that my fellow students are asleep. I highly doubt that they would be too pleased with my studying of such texts.
Speaking of studies, my work to become ambidextrous has proved successful. I'm now able to write with both of my hands. I'd like to assume it'll come in handy later.
Charles Darwin and other naturalists just seem to have very thought provoking work.

I've had that darn nightmare again. The one that harkens back to my earlier studies. The pained sounds still haunt me. Thank the lord, if there is one, that my colleagues have allowed me to use anesthesia on the poor creatures.
People seem to forget about my work with deciphering the varying stages of digestion. They only seem to refer to me as the 'dog man'. Which, is not completely false. I have been finding shed dog hair in the oddest of places, like the inside of my sock and shoe.
I've began to question as to whether I am training and studying the dogs or if the dogs are training and studying me.
-Older Pavlov with his experimentation (not an actual entry, a figment of my imagination)
