They also have regular auditing which is done independently ( every 18 months )  also unannounced and hatcheries ( every 12 months). If the strand roads are not met the farm is issued a fine and the issues need to be corrected.  

Egg standards of Australia 

Based on principles of HACCP - hazard analysis critical control point. Assessed based on hen welfare, egg quality, bio security, work health and safety and environmental management. This means there is protection for egg farm workers. It is audited based on levels, from 1 to 3. Level 1 shows the minimum requirements and standards being met for the farm, and three showing comprehensive cover and quality, almost at gold standard. Ensures standards from the rearing of day old chicks, all the way up until the packing of eggs for sale.

Comparison 

In UK, 2 audits are done, hatchery and unannounced done annually, and independent audits done every 18 months. In AUS, there is one audit done yearly, examining all from rearing, to egg packing. However, nothing to state quality of hatcheries being audited.

AUS - level 2 and 3 of audit is required to meet standards of commonwealth, state and territory food safety requirements. UK same standards (commonwealth).

UK required to be vaccinated against two variants of salmonella,  nothing that requires this in ESA.
