• Removed background from photo, using selection tools (magic wand, quick selection tool, quick mask). When you have your selection you refine edge to check and fix your selection. 
• select inverse, then new layer via copy. (This will put your cut out on a separate layer with the background removed)
• Copy your portrait across to your new background.
• LABEL YOUR LAYERS
• use FREE TRANSFORM tool on the portrait layer to scale, rotate and position your portrait in a suitable position.
