By this way, we can find some image from academic writing and essay, such as in library of Nottingham, Google scholar, in academic articles, there are many pictures to help author to explain their topic, if you wan reference picture from these articles, you must follow the rules of reference, include all information about the author and articles. Otherwise, your behavior is plagiarism.

2. From the internet
An image from online, such as Google, Baidu, Wikipedia, image from online sometimes can not find the full information about the author, you need try you best to complete the reference. for example, a picture in Google which is about The Great Wall, we can not find the name of the author, but we know the year produced, we need add the year produced instead of ignore it. There are various way to get pictures on the internet, we should try to find picture which have complete information in order not to inadvertently cause plagiarism.

3.Take a picture or draw a diagram by your own
Taking a photo or making diagram and tables by your own can also be used in your academic writing. Sometimes we need to collect data and make a graph in academic writing, we can use them and put these pictures in academic article. When you are using your own images, you also need a reference, to help yourself to remember and others who want use it easily.
