Objectives: students will be able to demonstrate their ability to use English by making mock 30 seconds to 1 minute phone conversation & leaving a 30 second voicemail to their teachers' office phone.
Pre-task:
- vocabulary- introducing: voicemail, sign off, greeting.
- phone etiquettes
- Outlines of phone conversation
Task:
work in pairs
1. use What's App to make phone calls about making plans to see a movie/ both of them need to write down their movie plan.
2. write out a voice message to your teacher for an excuse of absence because you are sick
Post-task:
Students talk about what they have learned in the phone conversation/ what they did well/ what didn't work.
 

3) demonstrate their knowledge of terminology associated with American culture in 60 minutes in-class written exam with 80% accuracy according to the answer key.
