Or it can be used as an Independent Practice when students (middle school or high school) locate their own YouTube videos on a specific topic and make them interactive by designing their questions.

Prodigy can be used as an Entry or Exit ticket. To see what students know going into the lesson and what they have learned leaving the lesson. The site easily provides differentiated skill practice and engages students. You can use it to gauge student progress, monitor who is mastering each concept and evaluate who needs more support.

Mentimeter can be used to present information through it's slideshow feature where I can explain the new lesson for the students. It can also be used as a form of assessment, since there is a quiz feature that the students can take where I can see their results and find out if they understood the concept of the lesson.

Quizalize is a great tool that can be used for pre-assessments as well as formative assessments. At the beginning of a lesson, the students can be given a "quiz" in game form to asses and see what they know before learning. Or it can be used as the lesson is being taught to see if they're grasping the point of the particular thing being taught. It's a very great interactive tool to monitor what and how the students are doing or will do.

Google Forms can be used as an interactive survey

at the beginning of a class or as a quiz form for the

end of the class. It can be used as a pre-assessment

or summative assessment. You can use Google Forms

as an assessment for any classroom as it is

interchangeable with your lesson plans.

I chose to look into ASSISTments. This tool is uniquely designed to help math teachers plan accordingly based on how well their students understand the material. ASSISTments can be used as an independent practice. The teacher can assign problems on the platform for students to complete on their own time. As they answer questions, the platform provides immediate feedback to the student to show them how they got the problem wrong. It also helps the student see why they got it wrong and how they could fix their mistakes. ASSISTments also works for assessment. If assigned in class instead of for homework, students could be given questions to complete on the platform as a way of testing what they know. They would know if they got the answer wrong right away, but ultimately will work in the way it provides report scores for teachers.

GIMKIT is a great tool to use for all ages. This online tool was made by a high school student who wanted to improve online learning platforms like Kahoot! and Mentimeter. GIMKIT allows teachers to create question sets for students to answer over and over again while also competing against each other. While playing students earn in-game cash to keep them interested. I really like this because it offers kids question and answer problems that they can go at their own pace.

Popplet is used as an online journal board and can be used for a PRE-ASSESSMENT for students to ask questions about a topic but also as an INDEPENDENT PRACTICE when students want to write down their thoughts about a topic or answer their classmates questions. I would use this in middle school or high school.

Parlay Ideas can be used as a discussion board for essential questions or course material. Parlay Ideas makes it easy for students to view the information being taught and discuss it in a discussion forum. This allows students to talk amongst each other and input their ideas on the topic at hand. This tool can also be used to check for understanding on the topic being taught, as the students feedback and discussions will reflect what they have retained. It has a feature that allows you to see what students have submitted the discussion post and who is not doing well on quizzes that are administered through the tool so that you can properly help the students.

Blooket is a really fun website that can be used in a majority of ways in the classroom. I think that Blooket can be used as both a pre-assessment (step 1) as well as to check the class' understanding (step 3). Blooket can also be used as an exit ticket to have students work on the content before they leave for the day (step 8).

Peardeck is an amazing multi-use educational tool that is commonly used in classrooms today. Peardeck can act as a way to present information to the student, can check for understanding through the use of question slides, and the use of a self-paced Peardeck lesson can also be used as independent practice. This means that Peardeck can be used for 3 things rather than just 2!

This site can be used for pre-assessments. You can create quizzes and or interactive activities that can assess the students comprehension on whatever subject you are teaching. I really like that you can create your own templates and use interactive comments or tips and tricks to help your students. It is also fairly easy to use once you play around with it. Genially is a great source for animated content which can be very helpful to students who may be more visual learners like myself. I enjoy being able to create fun and engaging content for my future students. Genially is great for students to create digital projects of their own but also as a teacher I can create interactive lessons that allows the students to engage directly with me but also with their peers. This is called guided practice. I can work with my students and show them how to create their very own projects. I believe it is a great pre-assessment tool that I will certainly use in the future.

Seesaw can be used to check for understanding as you can post quick assignments or journal entries for students to complete or respond to in the middle of a lesson. Seesaw can also be used for summative assessment as it is able to keep a portfolio of student's work over the course of the class's history.

Quill is a great website to use for ELA teachers. This is specifically designed for ELA and it gives you the ability to make "classrooms" with full assignments for your students. This can be used as a formative assessment as the assignments give you direct feedback when you answer. This can also be used to check the understanding of the learner and see how their reading, writing, and comprehension have developed over time.

Quizlet is a tool that can be helpful to teachers of all grade levels and subjects. To begin, this tool has a feature called Quizlet Live, which is an informal tool for testing. When using this tool, it will put students in groups where they will work together to complete questions. During this time, they are racing against other students to gain the most accuracy as fast as possible. This can be a way of practice or formative assessment. The traditional Quizlet is also a useful tool for students to practice or for a summative assessment. After a Quizlet set is created, students have the option to study with flashcards, through a matching game, through an informal assessment, through a 'learn' feature that combines flashcards and writing, and through the Quizlet-AI feature, where students work with AI to master the study set. In addition to practice, this tool can be used for a summative assessment as the test feature can be printed out to use as either a practice test or the actual test.

This can be used as a preassessment where students can share what they are excited to learn, and can also be used as an exit ticket where they share what they have learned. This is a good way to get students involved and starting discussions. It can be used in so many ways, including homework assignments and assessments.

Baamboozle is a great tool for students to learn new skills in a fun way! Students and teachers have the option to play an existing game on the website or they also have the option of creating their own game!

It can be used for guided practice and independent practice.

It can be used for guided practice where teachers go play the games simultaneously with students to make sure that they are following along and understanding the material presented in the game. It can also be used for independent practice because students are able to complete these educational games on their own at home or in a classroom.
It is a very easy tool for both teachers and students to be creative, learn new things, and most importantly have fun!

Naiku can be used for independent practice, step 5, and a formative assessment, step 7. Naiku allows teachers to give thorough feedback during the assessment. There are other options that allow students to get a better understanding of what they missed while working.
