We may begin to see more and more of theses behaviors within Alex. Further more, Alex becomes very interested in what causes his epilepsy and how to control his seizures

This video shows and example of some cards from the Tarot readings that Alex Woods' mother preforms. Each card has a different meaning, and will impact an individual's life. It is almost like a phys-chic. It is a form of religion and people come in for readings to find out things about their future.

There is a book series that I have read, and more books are coming back, and it is about tarot cards as real people. These tarot cards are left on earth to battle to the death, and that tarot card that wins, gets to be immortal until the next game starts. These 'games' start after some world disaster, and this time, a scorch has left the earth barren, with zombie like things that look like paper bags, and some humans that have survived. When I saw that Alex's mom was a psychic, and used the tarot cards, and talked about death not being bad, but others being bad, it reminded me of the book series I had read.

This artwork shows the death tarot card. The death card was detailed in the book and was showed as not only a bad card, but not always a good one either. Alex described the card and told us about how this card ties in on the accident and how Ms. Coulson's cards were not directly to her, but to Alex.

These facts/statistics show the truth behind the depression and anxiety that Alex Woods goes through during the book. He can barely get out of the house in parts fearing that his anxiety of being around others would trigger a seizure and he would be embarrassed.

This case is an example of what Alex could have encountered if not careful and smart with the decisions he made. Alex had depression already, he had no intention to leave his house because of how people look at him and how people may look at him. His anxiety hurts him in the ways that he never wants to be in public places because is too scared of having a seizure. When these things happen and children are beaten because of their differences, they have a right to think it is unsafe for them to leave the house. Other kids can be cruel and give these kids who already believe they are different in the bad way the feeling that they are much worse, they are the outcast.

This short film is about the affects that bullying has. Alex could easily slip down that path of self hate. The path were every thing is one big slippery slope that end in a drop to death. To have to sit there and wonder why he wasn't good enough, or if he ever will be. .

These are artworks by Kurt Vonnegut. He is the author of a lot of books that Alex enjoys reading. I think these artworks really show how complex Kurt is as an author, and why it appeals to Alex in the way it does, and causes him to start a book club about him.

This is an actual photo of a woman who was hit by a meteorite. This relates to the book because Alex was hit in the head by one. He says that he's in a way, grateful, for the meteorite. He thinks that if he hadn't of been hit, that he might not be on the same trail of life as he is now.http://www.spacesafetymagazine.com/space-hazards/meteorite/death-by-meteorite/ .

Alex Woods in the book reminds me of someone who is just really interested in the sky and the solar system. I say this because he gets really engaged in his conversation with Mr. Peterson whenever they bring up the book that discusses some of the planets. I also feel like he thinks he has that connection with the sky/solar system because he got hit in the head by the meteorite.

This is an article that explains what Mr. Patterson meant when he said "no matter what side of the pond you were on". This actually refers to the Atlantic ocean first used in dialogue when asking what was occurring in England. When having this conversation, Alex makes a side note about having look up what he meant by that phrase.

I found this poem online about 2 months ago I felt that really went my feelings on this book and my feelings fro alex. In so many accounts, Alex is badly bullied and treated much differently than many of the other kids. And this was only because of his "differences". Everyone is a human and should be treated the way that they deserve to. Alex took it way better than many of us now would, but still just because he as strong and got through it does not mean he deserved any part in it.
