I think that it just depended on what their opinion was. Probably the majority of people were not happy because they wanted to keep an even balance of free states and slave states. I think people were not happy with the situation in their lives. People had different view points on slavery. The North wanted to abolish slavery and the South wanted to keep it. Either way people are agreeing or disagreeing with your opinion.
