As a school psychologist (I also teach DP psychology but am not an MYP teacher) I mostly work with students on developing their self-management skills.
For example, we discuss and create individually tailored plans for achieving their goals, or analyze strategies and resources needed for assessment in order to create an appropriate plan. I have advised teachers how to integrate explicit teaching of communication and collaborative skills through short reflection tools where students should give and receive feedback to and from their peers and teachers.

Melicent- I am currently very new in MYP however I have been in PYP for 10 years and that experience has helped me integrate the ATL skills as part of the subject I teach. Even though I have a plan of mapping ready I still co construct the identification of the skill along with the sub skills with my students at the onset of initiating the topic in order to promote agency.
