The framework presented in this article is something that can be used in all disciplines but is extremely helpful in history as there are many websites that scan in historical documents for easy accessibility, and they are mostly free. Having this immense wealth of information allows for students to better understand certain concepts from variety of different perspectives and ideologies. The framework that is presented in the article and on this Padlet, allows for students to approach these articles and better understand and analyze those perspectives. It also allows for students to reflect on the things that they read or watched and apply those beliefs to their own.

There might be instances where students will have to review documents that we assign or find their own for an assignment. If we move towards incorporating more digital literacies in the classroom, how will we work through this?

Does this framework really only apply to Digital Literacies? The formats and layout of the figures could apply to non-digital literacies as well. They are all extremely useful for any kind of literacy. In my opinion, I think you could apply the framework to them.

In my field placement, the students I'm with are on their iPads 24/7. And to be honest, I don't know if they know how to go through a source and analyze it as laid out in the framework. I don't think students are taught how to do that anymore. But they also aren't really searching for their own sources. My teacher lays it out for them. But eventually they will have to do it and I'm worried they'll rely on Wikipedia as a reliable source. That's why it's crucial for this framework to be introduced and allow students to use it in the classroom. Because without it, they won't know how to understand concepts and connect articles with them.
