Then we all went in groups and went into our rooms. I was with was with Chloe,Tyler and George. We came up with ideas in our own time for the stimulus that we was given and made a song.  which was performed to Micheal. Micheal then came up with ideas to improve to use for the next song we would have to perform for the next stimulus that we was given and had to come up with the ideas at home.

We came up with some sad and depressing ideas that reflected the stimulus and used ideas that we each came up with individually at home and used those ideas to create a song. in the session all the vocalist but forward their ideas to come up with lyrics for the song and the guitarist came up with chords and whether the song should be major and minor. we all was quite proud of our performance  as we all worked really well together and we harmonized well together. the things we need improve on is our levels because we could hear the singers more then the instruments and things and the positives was that it was apporate for the stimulus and that all vocals sounded really well. how to develop the song is maybe not having as many singers so you can focus on one voice, this is how I would develop the song if we performed it again say at a gig]]> 2016-10-10 19:52:16 UTC https://padlet.com/mollymcintosh13/Bookmarks/wish/129624460 week 3 stimulus  mollymcintosh13 https://padlet.com/mollymcintosh13/Bookmarks/wish/129628348 This week we created a new song for the stimulus given last week which was about a Syrian girl who's father died and was it again very down and depressing. This time i worked with Alisha, George, Evie and Gifty in the group and what we did was we all came up with ideas in our time about the stimulus so we knew the stimulus was very dark and depressing because of the message of the stimulus which was about death;with this we deiced to use words or short phrases to we thought would be approate to develop and use as lyrics, in terms of development in the session we all used the words or phrases that the vocalist had written down and we combined them altogether to create versus and a chorus whilst the guitarist came up with some chords to contribute with the song.the positive feedback we got from the group was that our vocals were good and harmonized well and that we had good melody and sounded genuinely nice to listen to. Our negative feedback was that the instruments weren't loud enough to hear and could of done with being louder so they could of been heard better so we needed to work on our levels because with some vocalist being louder then others and with not being able to hear the instruments that clearly as well. the general response to the stimulus was quite good and there was definitely more positive feedback to negative feedback about our version of the stimulus,if we was to develop our performance of the stimulus further if we performed it again would be to definitely try to achieve the goals of improvement and also change the style of how the vocals were sang to add variety or to maybe try and harmonize with each other.

]]> 2016-10-10 20:10:15 UTC https://padlet.com/mollymcintosh13/Bookmarks/wish/129628348 week 6 stimulus mollymcintosh13 https://padlet.com/mollymcintosh13/Bookmarks/wish/138568322 This was the first week that we made our stimulus, the people I made a group with was Chloe, Paul, Kane, Rhys and George and what we did for a stimulus was about failed relationships. we created a quite a calm yet sad and peaceful song to go with the heart broken theme, we wanted to create a slow kind of depressing song but moving and power at the same time; we wanted to bring this message from the lyrics we created and also with the chords and the slow tempo from the drums. we had me and chloe doing vocals and harmonizes with each other with rhys doing some "ooos" in the background to me and chloe. with kane playing drums in more of a slow and calming pase and not dong really heavy and agressive drum rolls it really help keeping the theme and style of the song and to help keep everyone in time with each other. our improvements where chloe felt like her vocals where abit off there was no major improvements that were necessary. the things we did well was the tempo was approate to the style of the stimulus and some of the vocals where quite good and sounds in pitch, we had good volume so our settings good so you could hear everyone equally. we came up with this stimulus because this topic relates to everyone and everyone knows knows that feeling to be heart broken, the thoughts we had for the stimulus was anything that related to sadness and being a relationship that doesn't work and tried to come up with lyrics that symbolized or justified that feeling.in the lesson we develop it further before the performance by adding some guitar chords and having kane coming up with a beat for some drum rolls that suited the style of the stimulus and also having me and chloe deciding how we was going to sing the lyric, so deciding whether to use any dynamics in our vocals so doing any slides or bent notes or whether to just keep all the notes clean. the final thought of the stimulus in our opinion was that it went really well and we all worked well together and maybe with developing it future if we perform it again in at gig we could change the temop of the song and could possibly change the type and genre of the song,so making it more of punk song by the use of the guitars and how the drums are played.

]]> 2016-11-17 21:13:02 UTC https://padlet.com/mollymcintosh13/Bookmarks/wish/138568322 week 7 stimulus mollymcintosh13 https://padlet.com/mollymcintosh13/Bookmarks/wish/139872513 For this weeks stimulus we made a stimulus about bonfire night and about fire, the group of people consisted rhys, ethan and George and myself. again this was another acoustic style stimulus as we wanted to the effect that we was playing around a camp fire. we thought of fire and bonfire night for a stimulus because it was coming up to bon fire night and we thought we would create a song dedicated to bon fire night, our ideas for the lyrics and the message for the song was to try and used lots of fire based words and sentence to bring the message of setting outside on bon fire night. what we did the session was added some chords from the guitars and bass and put it together with the vocals. the things we needed to improve on was the timings in the song especially towards the end of the song also we needed to sort out the volumes and balancing the settings because you couldnt hear the guitars that well. the things we did well in our performance was the vocals where performed well and where very clear.we could this stimulus in future gigs that might come our way especially any acoustic gigs. i thought the performance wasnt that great in my opinion from the recording because the vocals didnt sound in pitch and the instruments didnt sound in tune with each other

this week me and rhys did a duet and our stimulus about anger and frustration.our ideas and thoughts about the stimulus was mainly just about pure anger and we wanted to address the feeling of aggression and what it would be like if that anger took over you, the anger specifically was abouts relationships either a friendship or about an loved up relationship that ended badly.in the session we developed the ideas by rhys coming up with the some notes for the guitar and me and rhys both came up the lyrics for the song and deiced whether it would be in major or minor. we thought the response to the stimulus was quite good and we felt like it was a great success! the improvement we need to make was my vocals where out of pitch some times during the song and also the guitar went out tune some times. we could develop the performance further by maybe adding a drummer so the song has a plus to it and to make it sound a bit more of a punk song and making it heavier.
