I have been married a whopping 17 years! I have 2 boys and 2 dogs. I was a classroom teacher in Utica Community Schools before MVA. This is my 11th year in education. I am the oldest of 3. :) I used to pinch my brothers so hard, and force them to play school!!! Talk about that bossy first born ;) I am passionate about education!

Fav food: Middle Eastern & a wonderful Fruity Pebble cake.

Fav thing to do when not working: time with family/friends, walk/run dogs, read, art, creating, or finding antiques & old books. Also, I love Jack White.

- I am a fifth grade teacher for MVA, and I will have a year under my belt in September!

- I am originally from California, but travel full time now. I have been to 42 states and have plans for the remaining eight. I have one dog, and my parents adopted my very special cat when I hit the road with my boyfriend. Each state has its own charm, but California will always be my favorite.

- I love food! All food. Local spots for coffee and wheat brews. Road side hole in the walls for pizza or bbq. My own recipes of rib roasts and French tarts. Something new like Crawfish. And a never ending supply of cheese and wine.

- As mentioned, I love to cook! I read, craft, collect plants, and watch movies too. I also love to hike and ride my motorcycle.

I have been with My Virtual Academy since May of 2016. I started as a receptionist and moved to enrollment and I love what I do. When hear that students I have helped enroll, have now graduated, makes me happy knowing I had a small part in helping them. My partner David and I love to travel, we have been to Australia, New Zeeland, Ireland, and hopefully more bucket list places in our future. I love to cook (mostly bake...my specialty is Baklava). I have 2 grown daughters, one is a 2nd grade teacher in Kentucky and the other is a 911 operator in Indiana. I have been adopted into Dave's family which makes me Ema to 5 beautiful grandkids. I have been at MVA for almost four months and love it! The appreciation I feel for doing what I love is incredible and I'm genuinely ENJOYING it! I live in Houston, Texas and have been here since I was a baby. I was originally born in Stoughton, Massachusetts and love visiting in the late summers/early fall seasons. I enjoy visiting new places with scenic views! I'm almost 7 years into my marriage, this coming May! May is literally a month of celebrations for me, so I can hardly wait for it to arrive. I have 3 children, two that live with me and my bonus son. Family is my whole entire heart. I have had the pleasure of educating students for 9 years NOW! Oh, did I say how much I love it!! Working for MVA is a breath of fresh air and hopefully I can enjoy it for a minute. The team I work on is full helpful educators willing to always extend a helping hand. I enjoy good food and lots of laughter, and I don't have a favorite food because I enjoy trying new things often! I hope you all enjoyed my read, have a blessed one!

Hi there! I've been a tutor on the Middle School Team since January 2021, and it's been a wonderful experience! What a great team! I'm also a home educator and have homeschooled both of my kids since kindergarten - and they're both teens now. (Wow! They've grown up so fast!) As an MVA tutor, I've loved having the opportunity to put my Master's Degree in Teaching to use more broadly again, though. I live in Kalamazoo with my husband, 2 daughters, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. My favorite food is, well, that's a tough one! I love Mexican food and Chinese food. Oh, and Indian food and Thai food, too. It's hard to narrow it down to a favorite. I do love to eat out, so maybe my favorite food is whatever I haven't had to cook myself. My hobbies include knitting in winter, gardening in summer, reading pretty much all the time, and traveling whenever we can fit it in. I also enjoy hiking, singing in the car with my daughters, and hanging out around firepits in backyards with our friends.

I am wrapping up my second year as an MVA HS Spanish Teacher. I grew up in Ann Arbor, studied (and majored in) Spanish in the Dominican Republic my junior year of college, taught English in Japan for a year, lived in Littleton, CO for 8 years, and have been living outside of Flint, in Grand Blanc for 16 years. I don't really have a favorite food, but I love to consume coffee in all forms--hot, iced, ice cream, smoothies, you name it! In my "free time", my husband and I watch our 4 kids (ages 11, 13, 15, & 17) play soccer, lacrosse, and baseball. In my other free time, I love reading a good detective novel and doing New York Times Sunday crossword puzzles.

I have been with ATS for going on 5 years now and am currently the Special Education Intervention Co-Ordinator. My favorite thing to do is smile and laugh and will always try to share that with you too. :) Laughter and hugs are the best medicine, so for us working from home, laughter it is! I'm all about those mom jokes - just ask the STP people, and my boys. I have all boys and they are my world. I love being a mom and a Mema. I feel very blessed. <3
