The biggest issue I encountered was that I felt tough to come up with a variety of sequencers, considering there were quite a lot of steps involved. The sample answer has helpfully shown a bunch of phrases I can use to connect different stages. Also, verbs which describe general actions, like "collect" and "make", were used too often. I have learnt to replace them with more specific verbs, like "assemble" and "produced".

Describing a map is especially hard in expressing the locations of the constituents clearly. The exemplar shows that I can use more verbs which express some locational information when describing a map. For example, "surround" refers to the environment's information around a location. Also, more various uses of words should be performed.

I forgot that I could give examples in the writing that I find it hard to focus on only one advantage and one disadvantage. Hence, I wrote two advantages and two disadvantages and ended up scattered. With only reasoning but no evidence, the writing may sound less persuasive.

Since there are no steps in the bar chart and the pie chart, I find it hard to use more cohesive words. By looking into the examplar, I learned that the data could be grouped so that I can assert cohesive words when moving from one description of data to another. However, I don't think the examplar interpret the second chart correctly as the question in the chart is "how the cost should be SHARED" but not "who should pay the cost".

I personally think that in an argumentative essay, the views in the essay are the most essential but not the use of language. However, I found that writing an essay with boring sentences is less convincing. Though I do think that whether I am convinced or not should depend only on the argument's content, but not its form, writing in the IELTS exam aims not only to persuade others rationally. To at least some extent, it requires convincing people emotionally.

I speak English mainly during presentations, oral exams and in-class discussions, all of which I will become more nervous than usual. So, the ELSS activity is a new experience for me. Through the conversation, I learnt that I could speak English more fluently and confidently under casual circumstances. I shall therefore try to treat the IELTS exam as if it was a daily conversation with the examiner.

Hence, I can state the exact increase in number and show to what extent has the number increased.
For the bar chart, I learnt a new expression of stating ranking, that is, "... was followed by ..., then...", which is highly useful.
Also, words like "trips", "nationals" can replace the words that appeared in the question.

I tried to write down all the data illustrated in the table, but this is, in fact, unnecessary. For describing data in a table, the most important things should be the highest and lowest data. This can provide more time and word limits for me to write more on the problem of what the data means, such as the order of the foods and dinks according to the popularity among the office workers.

This prompt asks me to try to justify two sides of a problem and give my opinion. I thought I needed to write down two sides' reasoning explicitly first, but I could just write my opinion whenever I disagreed or agreed with one side's reason. A paragraph needs not be a long one. A conclusion of two to three sentences is enough. So I can write more about the body.

I should use more data as evidence to support my points, be it real or make-up. Also, I used to care about Scribo's word limit suggestion that I shall write not more than 10% of the requirement. However, the examplar exceeds that limit. As long as I do not write something wrong or redundant, there should be no issue with the number of words.
