A Harvard study found a small but significant impact of teachers being outside of classrooms. It negatively effects math scores. This coupled with the cost of training teachers ultimately makes it a waste of resources.

We are not only pulling the teachers out of the classroom to be trained, we are paying teachers to be trained, people to train them and paying for substitutes to come into the classroom.

What if I lose my iPad? What if the battery dies?

What if they leave the iPad at home? What do we do with students who did not sign the agreement?

How can I do my work at home if I do not have WiFi?

If I don't sign the iPad agreement, what do I do in class without an iPad?

How do we get students to write with the iPad touch screen? How will we grade work done on the iPad?

Tablets are expensive, too distracting for students, easy to break, and costly/time-consuming to fix. Tablets contribute to eyestrain, headaches, and blurred vision, increase the excuses available for students not doing their homework, require costly Wi-Fi networks, and become quickly outdated as new technologies are released.
