    To solve this conflict Dubai launched  Carbon Abatement Strategy 2021 last year, which aims to decrease greenhouse gases by 16 per cent.

    The program will look at things like boosting the amount of electric car charging stations and increasing the number of solar energy projects, recycling gets a good look in.

    Environment recycling program

    Residents in Safa 1, Safa 2, and Jumeirah 1, 2 and 3 have all been supplied with recycling bins, and currently get them picked up weekly.
    The plan is to add 10 new residential areas to the program each year until door-to-door recycling should be available across the city.
    If you live outside of these areas, you could sign up for Green Truck, a private collection service that’ll pick up a bin of your materials every week. You can leave out paper, plastic, glass, metal, can and used and broken electronics as part of the Dhs100 a month subscription.

    The emirate of Sharjah set up a municipal waste management company Bee'ah (the Arabic word for environment) in 2007 in the form of a public-private partnership.

    In October 2011, Sharjah announced an ambitious plan for 100 per cent landfill diversion by 2015. To attain this goal, Bee'ah developed a state-of-the-art waste management centre to process and recycle waste.

    In 2012, the company introduced two-stream waste collection and a new tipping fee structure to incentivise waste reduction and to closely regulate landfill contents. Improved blue and green coloured, odour-proof bins have been deployed across the emirate.
