~ Split up into 2 groups. Each group will stand in a straight line facing each other while holding hands. Stand 10-15 feet apart from the other group.
~The first group chants "Red rover, red rover, send ______ over" Say a friends name from the other team.
~The person called out will have to try and break through your line. 
~If they break through, they get to take someone back to their team. *#1 starts and will throw a soft ball straight up into the air and call out a number.
*The person called out must run to get the ball while everyone else runs as far away as they can. 
*Once the ball is caught, the person yells freeze and everyone stops moving. 
*The person with the ball can take 2 big steps in any direction and then tries to (gently) throw the ball at a friend. 
~If you get tagged with the ball you get a letter, if the person throwing misses, then they get a letter.
~Once you spell S-P-U-D you are out, and the last one in wins!
