Here's why:

- Purple is associated with things like extravagance, creativity, wisdom, grandeur, dignity, and pride which seem like good house qualities. Along with the meaning, the physical effects of the color purple are good. Purple creates a balance between one side that is quiet and intelligent, but awakens our stimulated second side and cultivates our creative minds as both students and staff alike.

- Gold is a symbol of success, like how in competitions the winner gets a gold medal. The color gold is also thought to bring good luck because after all, gold is linked to success. We usually think of gold as riches and wealth and that's true, but in meaning of colors gold is generous and a benefactor to those below them. Bison - Sure, they seem a bit intimidating (I feel you guys) but in all honesty they're sort of cool. They are animals that persevere through the hardships and they are associated with strength, stability, and independence. 

Eagles/Falcons - Truthfully, not ALL birds are creepy animals that poop on your head all the time (Pigeons, I'm talking to you). They are strong and powerful birds of prey, and inspiring animals that tell you to reach for the stars and never give up. 

Horses - Horses aren't just for riding on. Horses are fast and they represent inner and outer strength. They battle through the tough times and thrive in success.
